Last week we had to lay off 2 employees from our Mobile Application Development team. Obviously, it's not a pleasant thing to talk about but as in any other company it happens from time to time. As you well know people come and go from Google, Apple, Yahoo and so on. The guys who left the company were completely different personalities and they had a different reason for leaving the company. One of them left the company to pursue a good opportunity she found for herself in other company, the second person has been laid off because of a lack of personal responsibility at work. These people's departure made me look differently at all people in my team. Here is the thing - it turned out that professionals do not just leave and it's very important and good thing to know. The people who leave the company are the ones, who don't want to grow, who can't work in a team or simply can't stand the company's demanding workflow, which is inevitable for a tech company to have in the 21 century if it seeks to succeed in the market. We've already found candidates for their positions and made appropriate offers. I really don't want to make a mistake with my choice and so I hope that we've chosen people, who aren't afraid of difficulties, aren't afraid to learn and move forward and are responsible for their work performance. I know they will become a great part of the INTERSOG team. Julia Zagoruiko, Director of Mobile Development |
